Welcome to First Baptist Church

Welcome to the offical website of First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights!

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My name is Rodney Cranford, Sr., and I am the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights.  This is a church where God is Supreme, Jesus is King and the Holy Spirit has his way.

I believe that your presence here today is special, an appointment set up by God for you to experience the presence of the Lord like never before.  I encourage you to join in with our anointed choir and praise ministry as we lift up our voices together and sing praises to our King.

As the Word comes forth, expect to hear a message that will change your life forever, draw you closer to God and cause you to live the abundant life in Christ.

We still believe in the power of God that there is hope for anybody who will trust Him to deliver them in their time of need.  If you have not yet given your life to Christ; TODAY is your day, according toJohn 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

My hope and my prayer is that your worship experience today will bring you back again and again, and again.

Pastor Rodney Cranford

Fasting and prayer is one of the most powerful spiritual combinations on earth. True fasting brings humility and alignment with God. It breaks the power of flesh and demons. It kills unbelief and brings answers to prayer when nothing else works.

It has been well said that prayer is not preparation for the battle – prayer IS the battle. And of all the things we can do to enhance the power and focus of prayer, fasting is doubtless the most potent.
